The name of Saint-Exupéry endures because of an unusual little book he wrote just before he died in 1944. Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) has something of Hans Christian Andersen in it, something of Lewis Carroll, and even a bit of Paul Bunyan. It is often lyrical... sometimes profound... and completely unique. It is sometimes called 'a children's book for adults.' However it is classified, The Little Prince is a literary classic beloved by millions.

The Little Prince was originally produced by R. John Wright Dolls in 1983 as an exclusive edition for The Toy Shoppe. A second edition was introduced in the year 2000 to celebrate the hundreth anniversary of the author's birth. Most recently, a small 'cabinet-size' doll, titled Le Petit Prince, was introduced along with a miniature version of the Fox

The newest Little Prince from R. John Wright presents this beloved character as a traditional teddy bear! The Little Prince Bear' is made of the finest custom-made Schulte mohair plush from Germany in a delicate blonde shade. The Little Prince bear measures 13 inches tall standing. He is fully jointed and features a hand embroidered nose and mouth, black glass eyes, and beige all-wool felt paw pads with hand embroidered claws.

The Little Prince is outfitted in the iconic costume depicted by Saint-Exupéry of a flowing greatcoat tailored of the finest custom-dyed all-wool felt with star epaulettes and a matching belt. At his throat he wears a decorative floral medalion and in one paw, our little prince holds his very own custom-made sword handmade of wood at the RJW Studio Workshop.

The Little Prince Bear is made in an extremely small edition of just 150 pieces worldwide. Each comes in his own presentation box with a numbered tag and certificate of authenticity.
